The Audience List feature in BlockSurvey allows you to build and manage a contact list directly from your survey responses. You can automatically extract emails, phone numbers, or any contact fields from survey answers and add them to your TeamSpace's Audience List for future campaigns or segmentation.
Pre-requisite:
Create an Audience List: An audience list is required to store the contacts. If you have not created one, follow the guide here to create an Audience List.
Adding Contacts from Survey Answers to Your Audience List
Design a survey that includes fields to collect contact details, especially the Email Address, which is required for adding respondents to your Audience List. You may also include optional fields like Name and Phone Number to enrich your contact data.
Go to Settings > Audience List Management, toggle on "Attach Audience List", and select the Audience List where you want the contact data to be saved.
Under "Map Columns to Questions", map each survey question (e.g., Email, Name, Phone) to the corresponding columns in your Audience List. This ensures the correct data is stored in the right fields.
If you want to add a default value to any column in your Audience List, you can do so under the "Map Columns to Values" section. For example, if you have a column named Source, you can set its default value to "Survey" to indicate that the contact was collected through a survey.
You can choose how to handle cases where the email address already exists in the Audience List. Options include:
Skip the entry if the email already exists.
Update the existing contact with the new data from the survey response.
This setting ensures your contact list stays accurate and up to date.
6. Click on "Publish" to activate your survey. Once published, every time a respondent completes the survey, their contact information will be automatically added to the selected Audience List.
By following these steps, you can seamlessly collect and store contact information from your survey respondents directly into your Audience List. This makes it easy to grow your contact database and use it for future campaigns.
