How to integrate Slack with BlockSurvey

Updated over a week ago

Integrating Slack with BlockSurvey allows you to send survey responses to a Slack channel automatically in real time. This is useful for tracking responses and collaborating with community members.

Follow these steps to set it up:

  1. After designing and publishing your survey, navigate to the Integrate screen in your survey.

  2. Under the Integrations menu, click on the Connect button for Slack.

  3. Click on the Connect Slack Workspace button.

  4. In the popup, choose the Slack workspace you want to connect and click on allow.

  5. Select the channel you want to send the responses to and click on Set up Slack.

  6. Submit test responses, and you will see the data automatically sent to the Slack channel in real time.

  7. If necessary, you can use the toggle switch to disable Slack integration. Once disabled, new responses will no longer be sent to the Slack channel.

  8. Click Remove Integration to disconnect the current Slack integration.

How to add your new public/private channels?

Once the BlockSurvey is connected with Slack, it only accesses existing public channels at the time of setup. If you create a new public or private channel afterward, you’ll need to add BlockSurvey to it manually. Here’s how.

  1. Open the newly created channel and click on the members icon.

  2. Navigate to Integrations and select "Add an App".

  3. Search for and add BlockSurvey to the channel.

  4. Once added, the channel will appear as an option in BlockSurvey.

That's it. Try it now! By following these steps, you can seamlessly integrate Slack with BlockSurvey, ensuring your survey responses are instantly sent to your Slack channel.
