The Contact List feature in BlockSurvey allows you to create and manage an contact list at the TeamSpace level. You can add new contacts, import contact details from a CSV file, and collect contact details directly from surveys.
Follow this step-by-step guide to set up and manage your audience:
Creating a Contact List
Navigate to the team space where you want to create the contact list. Under Audience, click on Contacts.
Click the Create Contact List button.
Enter a Contact List Name and optionally import contacts from a CSV file, Google Sheets, or Microsoft Excel. Click Create Contact List.
Adding Contacts to a Contact List
Open your created contact list.
Click on Create Contact.
Enter the contact details — Email (required), First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, and Country — and click Create.
Importing Contacts from a CSV File
Open your contact list.
Click on Import and upload your file.
In the Import Contacts modal, upload your CSV file or choose to import from Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
If the contact already exists in the list, choose whether to Update existing contact or skip it using the dropdown.
Click Validate & Import.
The contact details from the file will be imported into your contact list.
Note: BlockSurvey will automatically check for duplicate and invalid emails (Hard Bounce) from the CSV file and filter them out. Unique email records with No Bounce or Soft Bounce status will be added to your audience list.

Collecting Audience Data from a Survey
You can automatically add respondent details to an contact list by linking it to a survey.
Create or open the survey you want to use for audience collection.
Navigate to Settings → Audience → Audience List Management.
Toggle on the Attach Audience List option.
Select your contact list from the Select Audience List dropdown.
Map the list columns (Email, First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Country) to the corresponding survey questions.
Click Publish and try submitting test responses.
How does it work?
Once a respondent submits their answers, the mapped details will be automatically added to the audience list.
You can view and manage the collected data under Audience → Contacts in TeamSpace.
