How to set up email configuration

Updated over a month ago

To send email campaigns in BlockSurvey, you need to configure at least one sender email.

BlockSurvey, by default, provides you with a configured email to start your campaign.

Follow these steps to set up your email configuration:

  1. Go to TeamSpace -> Audience Panel -> Email Settings.

  2. Click Add Sender Email.

  3. In the Add Email Configuration pop-up, enter:

    1. From Name - The sender's name.

    2. Subdomain - The Subdomain used for the campaign.

    3. From Email Address - The email address from which the campaign emails will be sent.

  4. Click Add Email.

  5. A verification email will be sent to the provided email address.

  6. Check your inbox and click the verification link in the email.

  7. The email should now be marked as verified in the Email Configuration settings.

Note: You can edit the sender's name.

How to verify your domain?

  1. Log in to your domain provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains) and navigate to the DNS management section for your domain.

  2. In your BlockSurvey account, navigate to TeamSpace -> Audience Panel -> Email Settings, where you have added your email. Click Settings icon next to your email.

  3. The required SPF, DKIM, and DMARC values are displayed in the DNS Settings popup.

  4. Copy and paste each value from the pop-up into the DNS records section in your domain provider.

  5. Save changes and wait for propagation. DNS changes may take a few minutes to a few hours to propagate across the internet.

  6. Once your records are active, go back to the Email Configuration settings in BlockSurvey and refresh the page.

Why does domain verification matter?

  • Emails can only be sent from verified domains.

  • Your emails might end up in the spam or junk folder.

  • Your domain could be flagged or blacklisted.

  • Recipients may not trust your emails.

After successfully setting up the email configuration, you can proceed with creating your email campaign in BlockSurvey.
