BlockSurvey provides a secure way to collect and store uploaded files with encryption enabled by default. However, if you need to allow public access to uploaded files, you can easily enable this option.
Here is how you can do it:
1. Add a File Upload question to your survey.
β
2. In the Options tab, toggle the "Enable Public File Access" option.
β
3. Once responses are being collected, the uploaded files will be publicly accessible.
Note: Please note that activating this feature will make your files public and disable encryption, potentially exposing sensitive information.
When to enable this feature?
Consider enabling "Enable Public File Access" when collecting images of artwork or photos from public events. This allows others to view and appreciate these images.
When to disable this feature?
For surveys involving the collection of confidential documents or personal information (like financial statements or medical records), it's crucial to keep "Enable Public File Access" turned off to maintain the privacy and security of the uploaded files.
