Offline Mode allows respondents to continue answering your survey even if they temporarily lose their internet connection. Responses are stored securely on the respondent's device and are automatically submitted once they reconnect to the internet. This ensures a seamless survey experience without losing progress.
Why Use Offline Mode?
Offline Mode is ideal for surveys conducted in environments where internet connectivity may be unstable or unavailable. It helps ensure that respondents can complete the survey without interruptions or losing their progress.
Common use cases include:
Kiosk Surveys – Collect responses on kiosks or shared devices in stores, events, exhibitions, or reception areas, even if the internet connection temporarily drops.
Field Research – Gather data in remote locations where network coverage is limited.
On-site Inspections & Audits – Capture information in warehouses, factories, construction sites, or other locations with inconsistent connectivity.
Trade Shows & Events – Continue collecting responses throughout the event without worrying about network interruptions.
Mobile Data Collection – Enable respondents to complete surveys while traveling or in areas with fluctuating internet access.
How to Enable Offline Mode
Open your survey in Design mode.
Navigate to Settings -> Offline Survey.
Toggle Enable offline survey ON.
Publish or republish your survey for the change to take effect.
How It Works
When Offline Mode is enabled:
Respondents can continue filling out the survey even if their internet connection is lost.
Survey responses are saved locally on the respondent's device.
Once the device reconnects to the internet, the saved responses are automatically submitted.
When the respondent remains online, the survey behaves exactly as it normally would.
Note:
Offline Mode only stores responses temporarily until they are successfully submitted.
Respondents should use the same browser and device until their responses have been synced.
A stable internet connection is still required at some point to upload the completed responses to your survey.
