How to Edit Responses / Submissions received in BlockSurvey?

Why edit a survey response?

Editing a response allows you to change the answers to specific questions that respondents have already submitted. This is especially useful for

  • Correcting typos or minor errors in text-based answers.

  • Adding missing information that the respondent later provided.

  • Updating notes or details in open-ended fields.

What question types are editable?

You can edit responses for the following open-ended and closed-ended question types.

  • Open-ended questions.

    • short text

    • long text

    • number

    • email

    • country

    • phone number

    • website

    • date

    • contact form

  • Closed-ended questions.

    • choose single

    • drop-down single

    • choose multiple

    • drop-down multiple

    • rating

    • opinion scale

    • slider

Steps to edit a response

1. Go to the Responses screen, All Responses and click on the More dropdown and select Enable Edit Response.

2. Click on the table cell of an open-ended question type and edit the collected responses. Press Enter to save the edited responses.

3. Click on the table cell of a closed-ended question type and edit the collected responses from the available list of options. The selected response is auto-saved.

4. Click on Disable Edit Response once changes are made.

5. You can also edit the response in the Individual Response section by clicking the Edit Response button at the top.

4. Open-ended questions will have a text field, and closed-ended questions will show available options to select from. Enter the responses in the text field and press Save to save the edited responses.
