Welcome Screen Gating in BlockSurvey allows you to restrict access to your survey by requiring respondents to verify their identity before proceeding. This feature is useful when you want only qualified participants to take the survey preventing bots and spam while giving respondents the flexibility to choose their preferred verification method.
You can set up gating using:
Email Verification
Web3 Identity Verification
Social Identity Verification
Follow these steps to enable gating on the Welcome screen:
Go to the Design screen of your survey.
Add a Welcome screen and enter your welcome message.
Navigate to the Screen Gating tab and click Add Gating.
Select a verification method from the Add gating popup (e.g., Google Identity under Email Verification).
Click Add Gating to add multiple gatings.
Under Gating Options, choose one of the following settings:
"All are required" – Respondents must verify through all added options.
"Any one of them is required" – Respondents can choose any one verification method to proceed.
Once configured, add your survey questions and publish the survey.
How does it work?
For example, if you have added multiple gating options and set "Any one of them is required," respondents will be prompted to verify at least one identity before they can access the survey.
