How to create a POAP Token-Gated form

Updated over 2 months ago

In BlockSurvey, you can gate access to your form using POAP token holdings on the Gnosis Network. This ensures that only users who meet the required token criteria can participate, helping you filter your audience effectively.

What are the ways you can token gate?

You can token gate in two ways:

  • At the Welcome Screen.

  • At the Question Level.

Here is a quick guide on how to set it up.

  1. Go to the Design screen and click on Add Question.

  2. Select the Gnosis Network.

  3. Under the Token Gating tab, click the Add Gating button. (e.g., Gate access to users who have at least 1 POAP event holding in their wallet).

  4. Choose Non-Fungible Token from the Gate by dropdown.

  5. Select POAP as the Token Name.

  6. Enter the Event ID and set Minimum Holdings to 1.

  7. Adjust the minimum holdings and add multiple gating conditions if required.

  8. Once you have designed your form, click Publish and test it.

Note: To get the event ID, click here, type the POAP name, and look for the ID in the "#" column (e.g., 123456).

How is it shown for your respondents?

  • When respondents click the Connect & Verify (Gnosis) button on the survey screen, they will be prompted to connect their wallet.

  • After connecting, they will need to approve a verification message with their wallet, confirming ownership of the wallet address.

  • Only respondents who hold at least 1 POAP token in their wallet can proceed to the next question or submit their responses.

  • Once verified, BlockSurvey will automatically collect the respondent's wallet address and public details.

When respondents verify their POAP holdings, BlockSurvey collects the following data:

  • Wallet Address

  • Namespace(s)

  • Network

  • Wallet Provider

  • Wallet Holdings

  • XDAI Token Balance

  • Total Count of NFT Holdings

  • 50 Recent NFTs Metadata

  • Delegated Wallet Addresses

Give it a try! By following these steps, you can set up a POAP token-gated form in BlockSurvey, ensuring that only eligible respondents can participate.
