How can I collect partial responses

Updated over 2 months ago

BlockSurvey allows you to collect partial responses using the Partial Submit Point feature. This ensures you capture responses even if a respondent doesn’t submit the survey.

Here is how you do it:

  1. Go to the Design screen of your survey.

  2. Locate the question where you want to set the Partial Submit Point.

  3. Click the More option (three dots) for that question.

  4. Select Add Partial Submit Point from the menu.

  5. Alternatively, click on the Switch Question type and select Partial Submit Point from the Change Question popup.

  6. Once you have designed your survey publish it.

Note: The Partial Submit Point can be added only once per survey and cannot be placed on the Welcome or Thank You screens.

How it works?

  • Once a respondent moves past the Partial Submit Point, all responses up to that point are saved as Partial Responses.

  • If Save Progress is enabled and the respondent returns to complete the survey, the Partial Response is updated to a Completed Response and removed from the Partial Responses tab.

You can view the saved partial responses under the Partial Responses tab in the Responses screen.

Try it out! By enabling the Partial Submit Point, you ensure valuable data is captured even if respondents exit mid-survey and improve your data collection and analysis!
