Import and export of response data in surveys allow for efficient data management and flexibility. BlockSurvey provides convenient features for effortless export and import of response data.
How to Export Response Data?
To export your form or survey data, follow these steps:
Open your survey and navigate to the Responses screen, and select All Responses.
Click on More -> Export Responses.
A JSON file containing your response data will be downloaded to your computer.
Importing Response Data
Pre-requisite: To import data, you must turn off Bot Prevention.
Make sure Bot Prevention is turned off for the survey. To do this, go to
Design -> Settings -> General -> Bot Prevention in your survey settings. Publish the survey for changes to take effect.
You can re-enable Bot Prevention once the import is complete.
How to import Response Data using JSON?
Open the desired survey where you want to import the data. Navigate to All Responses (as you do when exporting responses).
Click on More -> Import Responses.
In the resulting pop-up, upload the JSON (e.g., you can upload a previously downloaded JSON file) from your machine. Your responses will be imported.
How to import Response Data using CSV?
Open the desired survey where you want to import the data. Navigate to All Responses (as you do when exporting responses).
Click on More -> Import Responses.
In the resulting pop-up, download the CSV template. Enter or copy your responses into the CSV.
Upload the CSV file. Your responses will be imported.
Tip: You can also import & export responses from the analytics screen.
In the Analytics screen, navigate to Response Analytics and select More for Import & Export options.
