Voice input adds a microphone icon to text questions, so respondents can speak their answer instead of typing it. BlockSurvey turns the recording into text in the answer box, and the respondent can edit it before moving on.
You can turn it on for a single question or for the whole survey.
Turn it on for one question
Step 1: Open your survey in the builder and select a Short Text or Long Text question.
Step 2: In the Options tab below the question, Enable Voice Input is the first option. Switch it ON.
Step 3: Check the Preview on the right. The answer box now shows a microphone icon.
Turn it on for the whole survey
Step 1: In the builder, open the Settings tab and go to General.
Step 2: Switch on Enable voice input. This adds the microphone to every open-ended question: Short Text, Long Text, Feedback and the Other option.
What respondents see
The respondent taps the microphone, speaks, and stops the recording. Their words appear in the answer box as text. They can fix anything that was misheard before they continue.
