What is Piping In Surveys?
Survey Piping is a technique that allows survey creators to reuse a respondent's previous answer in subsequent questions or answer choices.

Favorite Movie Use case
“Favorite Movie Survey” is used to explain Question & Answer Piping. This Survey has 4 questions, as shown below screenshot.
The first 2 questions are used to explain Question piping.
The 3rd & 4th questions are used to explain Answer piping.
Steps to Set up Question Piping
Question Piping uses the participant’s response from one question and incorporates it into a subsequent question.
In 2nd question, type “@” or click the Recall button in the question input field.
Select the 1st question to whose response you want to refer.
Now, the response is piped to the 2nd Question.
Steps to Set up Answer Piping
Answer Piping uses the participant’s response from one choice-based question and uses it as an answer choice in another choice-based question.
In 4th question, Click on Pipe Answer
Select the 3rd Question from the drop-down & choose one of the below options.

Selected Choices
Unselected Choices
The Selected choices for 3rd Question are piped as answer options for 4th Question. Answer Piping is done.
