BlockSurvey includes AI features that help you build surveys and understand your results. This article explains how your survey data is protected, how AI features use it, and how to turn AI off for your organization.
Your Survey Responses Are End-to-End Encrypted
Survey responses are end-to-end encrypted. They are decrypted only in your browser when you open BlockSurvey, so only you and your team can read them. BlockSurvey can't read your responses.
How AI Features Use Your Data
AI features work differently. When you use one, the data that feature needs, such as your prompt, your questions or the responses you choose to analyze, is processed by AI to give you the right output.
AI runs only when you use it. Nothing is processed by AI until someone on your team uses an AI feature.
AI follow-up questions are off by default. They run only on questions where the survey creator turns them on.
Personal data is left out of AI analysis. Questions that appear to collect personal information, such as name or email, are excluded by default.
You control saved reports. AI analysis reports are saved so you can open them later. Deleting a report removes it permanently.
How to Turn AI Off
If your organization prefers not to use AI, the organization owner can turn it off in Global Settings > Organization > AI Controls (Team and Enterprise plans). You can turn off every AI feature at once or only the ones you don't need. Once AI is off, your team no longer sees AI features anywhere in BlockSurvey.
