Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Passkey feature in BlockSurvey allows you to sign in securely and effortlessly without needing an OTP or secret key. Once a Passkey is added to your account, you can use it for quick access using biometric or device-based authentication.

How to add a Passkey?

  1. Sign in to your BlockSurvey account.

  2. Go to Profile → My Account → Login and Security section.

  3. Click on the Add Passkey button.

  4. Choose your preferred method to create and save a Passkey. This might include using your device’s built-in biometric system, like Face ID, fingerprint, or a secure password manager.

How to sign in with a Passkey?

Once you've added a Passkey:

  1. Go to the Sign-In page.

  2. Enter your email address.

  3. Click on Sign in with Passkey.

  4. Once your Passkey is verified, you’ll be securely logged in.

No worries! Even after setting up a Passkey, you can continue signing in using the OTP and Secret Key method. This gives you flexibility depending on your device or browser.

Note:

  • Firefox is not supported for adding or using a Passkey.

    • If you’re trying to add a Passkey, use Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Brave.

    • If you try to sign in using Firefox, the Sign in with Passkey option will not be shown. Instead, use OTP and Secret Key to log in.

  • On Windows devices, using the “Windows Hello or external security key” method is currently not supported when adding a Passkey. Please use other supported passkey-saving options instead.

Give it a try! Adding a Passkey enhances your login experience with secure and seamless access, while keeping the OTP option as a reliable fallback.
