What is Group By?

A Group By operation involves grouping data based on specific criteria to summarize and analyze it effectively.

Note: You can only group data with specific question types like Choose Single, Choose Multiple, Drop Down Single, Drop Down Multiple, Experience Management CSAT Single, Experience Management CES Single, and Consent.

Group By can be applied to Rating, Opinion Scale, Experience Management (NPS, CSAT - Opinion Scale, CES - Opinion Scale) questions, Numeric expressions, and Text variables.

How to analyze data using Group By in BlockSurvey?

Analyzing data using Group By is a straightforward process in BlockSurvey. Let's explore an example and the steps to apply Group By to responses:

Example: Employee Satisfaction Survey

  1. Navigate to your Analytics screen.
  2. Click on the "Group By" button.
  3. Choose the question that will be the basis for summarizing responses (e.g., "Department").
  4. Optionally, add multiple Group By criteria using the "Add Group By" button.
  5. Click "Apply."
