What is the difference between BlockSurvey Secret Key and Magic Recovery Code
Secret Key:
It is the initial password-like key that you need every time to sign in. It is a 12-word or 24-word secret key that you downloaded to your machine or copied to a safer place when you signed up for BlockSurvey for the first time.
Note: Once it is lost, you will not be able to recover your account if you had sign up using one of the crypto wallet. This said you'll be able to recover it if you had signed up using an email.
Magic Recovery Code:
It is a backup option to recover your BlockSurvey Secret Key if you happen to lose it. You will get this Magic Recovery Code only when you signup to BlockSurvey using Email. Please note that this recovery code will be sent only once to your email. BlockSurvey cannot restore your account if you lose your Magic Recovery Code. Save the email forever and make sure you have saved the recovery code somewhere safe. After successfully logging in using the recovery code, you can access and download the Secret Key to your machine or copy it to a secure location from the Profile -> View Secret Key option on the dashboard page.
Note: The Secret Key and the Magic Recovery Code are known only to you and not to BlockSurvey. If you lose it, we won't be able to recover your account or data. Keep this safe!
