What is email bounce and how do we validate it

What is email bounce?

An email bounce is when an email that you send is returned to you because it was not able to be delivered to the recipient. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as if the recipient's email address is incorrect, if the recipient's mailbox is full, or if there is a problem with the recipient's email server.

Here is a quick guide on how to validate it:

  1. Add an Email component as one of your question types in your survey or form to get the respondent's email.
  2. Enable the Email Bounce Check under Options of the question that gets the email.

Note: This performs regex, typos, disposable mail, MX address checks, and also SMTP validation for all domains.

  1. Once the respondents make a submission the email bounce status is displayed in the Responses screen.

Give it a try! You can also verify it manually using BlockSurvey.
